If ever in doubt, buy extra supplies so you won’t be heading to the store three times because you need more tape, boxes, or bubble wrap.
Clean as you go
Most moving companies will have better sanitation methods in place, but you can still check off cleaning your items as you go. If you want to, wipe down items with disinfectant and sanitize while you pack or unpack. The cleanliness of your items can go a long way, and there’s just something to be said for unpacking clean stuff. Bleach and disinfectant wipes may discolor your articles, so take care when wiping things down. Most things will be fine if you use mild dish soap to get your items clean.
Finish packing 24 hours before your move
According to experts, Coronavirus can live a long time on surfaces and up to a day on boxes. Getting the packing done early on helps you have less stress on the day of the move. Yay, everything is packed! Also, your boxes will be untouched for 24 hours before the movers arriving.
